Report summary
Mt Webber is a small hematite mine in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. It is owned by Hancock Prospecting following its acquisition of Atlas Iron In November 2018. The mine is located approximately 230 kilometres from Port Hedland. Production at Mt Webber is expected to ramp down ahead of mine closure in 2024, with replacement tonnes being brought online from Sanjiv Ridge and then Miralga Creek. Transport costs account for 40% of total C1 costs due to the large haul distance from mine to port.
