Bratwurst is a gas/condensate field located in the Ashmore-Cartier sector of the Bonaparte Basin. It was discovered by Shell in December 2019. The field lies around 160 kilometres northeast of the Prelude FLNG and around 11 kilometres from Crux, both of which are operated by Shell. As of now, the operator has not released a development plan for Bratwurst. We assume the field will be developed as a subsea tie-back to the Crux platform and used to backfill the Prelude FLNG.
