Report summary
Global LNG run rates fell to 65% as supply constraints in the Persian Gulf were compounded by seasonal maintenance in the US and Australia. Some relief has emerged, however, with Peru LNG coming back online after a prolonged outage and Darwin LNG also resuming operations. In Qatar, we detected heat signals at three Southern RasGas trains, suggesting they are being gradually tested and returned to hot standby. LNG output across Africa has remained resilient, led by Nigeria’s consistently strong performance throughout 2026. In Russia exports are gaining momentum, with Arctic LNG-2 securing additional vessels to support logistics as the Northern Sea Route opens earlier than usual. In Mexico our satellite analytics identified first heat signatures at Costa Azul LNG’s pre-treatment facility.
